G.hn Wave2 MIMO Modem Set (Master and Client) for 2- and 4-wire telephone line. Net bandwidth 1500 Mbps and long range thanks to MIMO (4-wire). The fastest technology used by Internet providers worldwide for FTTB/FTTC connections: fiber optic cables are laid to the building or roadside, with G.hn Internet is distributed via the house cabling (coaxial or telephone cable) into the apartments. This professional technique is called G.now. It is the solution to all WLAN and powerline problems. With G.hn Modems G4201TM (1x Ethernet Port), G4202T (2x Ethernet Port and Analog Phone), you can easily extend your local network (LAN) via existing telephone cables. Without laying new network cables, you can use it to distribute any internet connection (fibreglass, DSL, TV cable) at full speed over existing house cabling or set up a very fast and 100% stable network. The modems support 2-wire (SISO, standard) and 4-wire (MIMO, configurable in the web interface) operation. The two devices simply have to be connected to each other via a telephone line (or a telephone underground cable) and connect them to the local network with network cables. You do not need to configure IP addresses, they work according to the "plug and play" principle (plug and use immediately). The Master Modem determines how fast data is transferred from master to client (download) and back (upload). By default, 70% of bandwidth is reserved for download and 30% for upload, equivalent to 1000/450 Mbps. The split can be changed in the web interface of the Master Modem.
